
Dr. Fouad Bousetouane is a technology leader, AI researcher, innovator, author, educator, investor, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, enterprise transformation, AI governance, agentic systems, and deep technology.
He is the founder of ProofAgent.AI, an AI evaluation and governance company focused on helping organizations assess the readiness, reliability, risk, and governance of AI agents. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Agentic Systems at the University of Chicago.
Previously, Dr. Bousetouane served as Director of Innovation, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence at W.W. Grainger, where he led major enterprise AI and innovation initiatives. He has also supported AI governance and innovation initiatives at United Airlines and advised organizations on building scalable, secure, measurable, and business-ready AI systems.
His research spans AI agent evaluation, production readiness, context engineering, memory, governance, and human oversight. He is the creator of the ProofAgent Index, the Human-on-the-Bridge evaluation paradigm, and the open-source ProofAgent Harness for adversarial, multi-turn AI agent evaluation.
Dr. Bousetouane holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and completed postdoctoral research in deep learning at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has contributed to more than 50 publications, patents, and trade secrets and has helped lead large-scale AI transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 organizations.
